HOW CAN WE HELP?

Step 1 - decision time

We’ll work with you to figure out how audio can help your organisation and which format matches your needs. It might be a weekly podcast, audio for your website or a new approach to internal comms.

Step 2 - the creative bit

Next up it is time to work out what stories you want to tell and how we are going to tell them. Alongside this we will help with a name, logo, music and a script if necessary.

Step 3 - production time

We'll prep, record and edit your contributors and make the recordings in to a professional podcast - with intros, outros, adverts and music - the full shebang.

Step 4 - press play

You've got yourself a podcast - on time every time. We can help you to launch, advise on social media and support you at events.

About us

Tin Shed started in 2017 with our own documentary podcast – The Backstory – which focuses on the fascinating lives going on all around us.  We’ve grown since then, using our love of audio to make podcasts for other groups and companies.

We’d love to talk about how we can do this for you.

Claire Mutimer

Producer

Claire worked in television and documentary story-telling for many years, working on programmes such as 24 hours in A&E, The Great British Bake Off and Supernanny, as well as one-offs for BBC and Channel 4 covering adoption, repossession and children leaving care.

Suzy Coulson

Producer

Suzy’s background is in the voluntary sector, managing a mediation project, working in substance misuse and supporting families in need.  She has also worked on research projects and has extensive experience of interviewing vulnerable adults and children.

Our Work

Our new lockdown comedy, recorded remotely.  Follow Emily, Pippa and Kate as they navigate our new normal.

Tin Shed has been a pleasure to work with – Claire and Suzy are professional, efficient and really adaptable to ideas that work for our project. Their knowledge of podcasts, storytelling and ensuring we hit the brand’s message alongside creative and compelling content is spot on.

Working with Suzy and Claire on our weekly podcast is great. Their knowledge, preparation and professionalism ensures we always create engaging content and hit our deadlines

Documentary story-telling about the fascinating lives going on all around us.

The Project Belonging in Britain is a digital storytelling project that uses analogue film photography and audio interviews in the form of a podcast. The project explores symbols, institutions and traditions that are celebrated as being distinctly British. These include football, the NHS, corner shops, Grime, pubs, pie and mash and the rule of law.

Emily is nailing homeschooling with virtual museum tours, a fun-filled Viking project and regular yoga in the garden, as well as whipping up something from the pantry for date night with husband Steve. Pippa is getting to grips with new levels of online dating that only the desperation of two kids in lockdown could push you to, whilst Kate is a ticking timebomb holding all the shit together whilst her husband cycles round the countryside looking after his mental health.

Working from home, competitive parenting, sexual frustration, homeschooling and stuffed hamsters – three households all managing in their own way. Emily, Pippa and Kate Skype, Zoom and Houseparty their way through the day whilst negotiating relationships with cooped-up partners and the constant requests for more screen time. Sound familiar?

BIG YES to staying creative in the time of Covid19. Great to see what other people are doing.

Do have a listen to our very own comedy podcast – a lighthearted take on Pippa, Kate and Emily as they bungle their way through all of this.

You may recognise a couple of us… we are joined by Ivan and Kate as the voices of Being Socially Distant our new comedy podcast which we are recording every week in our bedrooms and wardrobes! Ep3 – temperatures, tik tok and taxidermy is out now – do have a listen for a little laugh in semi-lockdown. Hopefully you will like it and want to leave us a little review or rating to warm our socially distant hearts. Someone said it was ‘naughty like Joan and Jericho and painfully relatable like motherland’ – that was nice. #link in bio #listen #lockdown #beingsociallydistant #spotthedildo #taxidermy #covid19 #coronavirus #applepodcasts #podcast #listentothis #homeschooling #parentingishard #newnormal #masks #nhs #staysafe #stayalert #dontshagthedeliverydriver
